I hope you enjoyed the wonderful weather we had this weekend in San José. It’s an exciting time, with only two weeks until vote by mail ballots go out, and we’ve been out in the sunshine talking with voters across District 2. I’m enjoying the chance to engage the community on the many issues we face.
Last week, I was honored to receive the endorsement of the San José Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce. My experience in the private, public and nonprofit sectors has given me a great appreciation of local businesses — big and small — and the value they bring as partners and employers in growing our economy. I look forward to working with business owners in District 2 to expand and improve the job market in our community.
I’m also honored to have the support of the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors, the San José Committee for Good Government, and the Latino Victory Club. You can click here to see complete list of my endorsements.
Last night, the first big candidate forum of the campaign was held at Tully Community Library, It was a great chance for District 2 residents to get to know the candidates, and it got some coverage in today’s San José Mercury News. Check my website for a full schedule of upcoming forums.
Finally, if you can spare any time between now and Election Day on June 4th, please sign up to volunteer for our campaign. We’re walking precincts and phone banking each and every day, and we’d love for you to join us. You can download this flier for all the details.
P.S. Saturday night marked the first fundraising deadline of the election. But it’s not too late to show your support. Please take moment to give what you can up to the $500 individual limit. Thank you to everyone who’s contributed so far!
