As a County Supervisor, I see our mission to protect the public as our number one priority. The County has unique authority to prosecute criminals in the criminal justice system as well as a unique responsibility to direct the health and social service network to prevent crime.
As a native of District 2, I remember a safer community. We must do more, immediately, to address the specific crisis of crime growing in our community: gang violence, youth homicides, domestic violence, school violence, burglaries, and muggings.
I will be an active and vocal Supervisor, coordinating with the county, law enforcement, the City, schools, and neighborhood leaders to address crime and reduce violence in our community.
