It’s been an incredibly busy week for our campaign as we head into the first week of voting. We are hearing that two recent polls show this race in a dead heat. It’s a huge boost, as we expected, just as voters are receiving their ballots.
As a consequence, my opponent’s supporters are stepping up their disinformation campaign. Instead, we are focused on the needs of the community and working feverishly — and in this heat, I mean that — to reach out to voters.
Another great statement of support came with the endorsement of Metro Silicon Valley and San Jose Inside. Their editorial really cut to the heart of why this race is so important. I encourage you to read and share it with your friends.
Last week, I participated in a pair of candidate forums. The first was hosted by the Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits, where we spoke with nonprofit leadrs about health and human services provided by the county. On Sunday afternoon, I met with Viet Voters, a group of dedicated Vietnamese community members in District 2.
The next public forum will be hosted by the League of Women Voters in Fiesta Hall at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds next Monday, July 8th at 6:45pm. I hope to see you there!
In order to keep building on the momentum we have gained, we need to raise funds. Please make a donation right now to support my runoff campaign. We’re coming down to the wire, and every dollar helps!
JOIN US! I hope to see you at our campaign headquarters over the next 7 days as we make a push to mobilize mail-in voters. We are on the phones and walking precincts each and every day. Send an email to Volunteer@TeresaAlvarado.com to sign up today!
That’s all for now. Thank you as always for your support.
